Company Clerk No. 2
a.k.a. Company Secretary, Local National
a.k.a. Administrative Assistant
(The latest'n greatest title...)
"Confessions of a Company Clerk ..."
I have fond memories of this young lady;
the closest I ever got to her was giving
her a ride home on the back of my 90 cc Yamaha ...
She made my job so much easier in the company orderly room - like the G.I.'s
having hootch girls to make their beds and shine their boots ...
I introduced her to G.I. humor and she taught me the Thai language
- never a "bad" word too! But, once in a while, I would get
on her "nerves," and she would say: "Ee-pee-ta-lei"
and I would wonder what it meant - she would never tell me ...
Later, after marrying a Thai woman, myself, I found out and <smiled>
as it was not so bad an expression, but then - I would say you didn't know
this young lady and how nothing foul would ever come out of her mouth,
if you (even) ever thought otherwise ...
- Company Clerk
p.s. Thanks - Ron, for the picture and the fond memories ...
p.p.s. I believe that she was able to follow us to Camp Friendship,
but I knew that she had a transportation problem and did not come to Satahip
with us! ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY MORE PICTURES OF HER?! TIA!!!
