My first tour was some time in early 1966.

I was in Korat for 15 months, but TDY a lot to places like NKP (Nakhon Phanom,) Ubon, Udorn, & Sokanaki.

That plane did land at NKP!   I did not believe it either, but those suckers can land anywhere that runway was made out of medal there was a name for it, but I can't remember what it was... LOL

Anyway, then I went to Fort Bragg, North Carolina for a couple months.
PFC Ron Renfro!     Then I shipped back to Thailand, second tour, when everyone was going Satahip, but I went to Udorn or Ubon to work on some leaky tanks for about 3 months and then on to Satahip until I got the axe to the skull was med-evac'd out!

I'm not real good at writing, so - this kind of mixed up.   Anyway, when I got out of the Army; tried staying in L.A. for awhile, but everything had changed or maybe I had a lot.   So, I went to Kansas City, Missouri and worked at a Boys Home training their horses and teaching the kids how to ride.   I did that for about a year.

Then, I started working in a donut shop; my wife Linda & I bought them out in a year & half and ran it for 15 or 20 years until I had both hips replaced and lower back; three disc ruptured.   I had to sell out - doctors said.   If I keep going I'd end up in a wheel chair before I was 50!

Oh - some where between the horse thing & donut shop, I got married to Linda; been married to same woman for 33 years.   I've been retired for about 15 years and about 5 years ago, I started having trouble with my upper back & neck; two surgeries there; so, now I'm half way crippled up; no feeling in my hands and legs.

I'm sending some pictures over the years - if you could do that web page for me, thanks.   Anything else you need to know, let me know!     Some more of my pictures - then & now ...

P.S.   I put those pictures on a disk; if you give me your address, I'll mail it to you!   Also, please excuse any spelling and grammar - never was good at writing.   Ron
